bd Administrative Matters and Team Communications

Attention parents: Several packets of information were distributed to the wrestlers this week. The large packet contained a note of welcome from the Team Moms, the varsity and jv schedules, varsity hotels accommodations (one in Maryland and two in Pennsylvania), a calendar, and directions to the tournaments. Also sent home, the BLUE CARD - Emergency contact card (to be returned to managers) and an order form for wrestling workout gear (t-shirts and shorts). In addition to the workout gear orders are being taken for a parents / fan t-shirt and sweats for the wrestlers (nice Christmas gifts). Order forms for the workout gear, fan t-shirts, and sweats need to be turned in before Thanksgiving.

During the season we will be posting both dual and tournament results, notes from the coaches, interviews with the wrestlers, and team/individual statistics. This year we are using a number of different communication methods to deliver team news. In addition to packets provided to the wrestlers (these often end up in the bottom of the gym bag) we will provide team news via e-mail, the Brentsville Wrestling Blog (comments and discussion welcome), through Facebook (lots of pictures and highlight videos) and Twitter. If you would like others (family and friends) to follow the progress and accomplishments of our Brentsville wrestlers feel free to forward their e-mail address to obxsurfhound@aol.com and they will be included.
