bd opened the season with the Andrew Kenney Duals where we went 4 -1. We then competed at the Opening Day at the Park dual tourney where we placed 2nd going 4 – 1. The next weekend we hosted the prestigious Dudley Martin Tournament where we competed as individuals in round robin format. Thankfully the new computer program also made it easy to calculate the dual match-ups where we went 8 – 0. Note that we won the Dudley in fine style (a first in many years) by mounting a tremendous comeback in the 7th and final round of wrestling. We next traveled to Heritage HS for a "quad-dual" competition in which we renewed an old rivalry with single "A" Strasburg, we ended the night going 3 – 0. Unfortunately we were snowed out of the Penn Manor tournament. For our final competition in the month of December we traveled to the McDonogh Holiday Duals where we tied for second in our pool going 4 – 3 against very stiff competition from Maryland and Pennsylvania. In our pool three teams tied for 2nd all going 4 – 3. Point differentials were used for pool placement and this moved us into 5th place (not enough bonus point matches). In any case, we were matched up across pools against Kellam HS (Va AAA team ranked the 8th strongest team in Va) and defeated them placing 9th of 16 very tough teams. At McDonogh our wrestlers faced and defeated a number of ranked Maryland and Virginia wrestlers. (details can be found on facebook)
